Hi folks, a fitting week for the latest addition to our art competitions – The Society of Women Artists open call for their 160th Annual Open Exhibition. An online only event this year launches September with a £4,000 prize fund (closes 25th June).

£5,000 Figurative Art Prize
The Doreen McIntosh Prize has just been added to the New English Art Club Annual Exhibition awarding £5,000 for “an artist whose work fulfils the New English Art Club’s ideals of rigour, immediate engagement with the visual and a searching attitude”. Puts total prize fund at £11,000 and London group show in June. (closes 23rd April).
The Art Gemini Prize is open for entries with a first prize fund of £4,000 and a London group show in September. Their Young Artist Prize is free to enter for artists 17 and under with a 1st prize of £250.
