£12k global open call, £10k UK competition, Ingram Prize, Creative course, Art opportunities
Hi! Those art competitions keep on opening so thanks to all who help keep me in the loop. Right, don’t be fooled by the title - Wales Contemporary is open to artists across the globe with the carrot of a £12,000 prize fund to lure those entries in.
Last year saw 2,000 entries from 1,000 artists living across 42 countries, 144 works by 117 artists were shortlisted for the 2022 exhibition, view winning works here.
A group show for shortlisted artists awaits at the Waterfront Gallery in Milford Haven. £15 entry fee for 1 work (closes 21 August)
British Art Prize 2023 - £3,000 1st prize, £10k total fund, organised by Artists & Illustrators magazine, painting only, exhibition at Gallery@Oxo in November, View 2022 winners. £17 entry, UK (28 Sep)

As a long time follower of Lisa Hassell and her Inkygoodness Collective on Twitter & Instagram it’s great to see her first Domestika class launch today. ‘Build Your Creative Brand’ is £9.90 and aimed at creative folk wanting to ‘jumpstart your creative career by developing a brand identity to enhance your portfolio and attract clients’.
