Sketchbook Courses
Two sketchbook courses from Creative Bug caught my eye from artist/illustrators Missy Dunaway and Lindsay Stripling.
Sign up before the end of the month for 2 months free and 50% off for life with access to all courses from art & design to crafts & kids.
Dunaway’s Acrylic Inks course guides you through a daily painting practice using a Moleskine sketchbook over 30 days (5/5, 150+ reviews).
Jackson’s have a few acrylic ink sets at 50% off and a large range of Moleskines.
Stripling’s Concept Sketchbook course is a 30-day series of video lessons on how to concept and execute sketchbook spreads using pencil, ink, coloured pencil and oil-based crayons (4.8 out of 5, 300+ reviews).
Domestika Black Friday Week
The good folk at Domestika have 400 courses at £9.90 each. Continuing the sketchbook theme The Art of Sketching: Transform Your Doodles into Art sees Swedish illustrator Mattias Adolfsson help you find your drawing style.
Plenty more sketchbook themed courses to choose from and a special mention to Adolfo Serra’s Introduction to Children’s Illustration course which my sister loved.
Objects of Desire
A mighty fine looking surrealism show at the CaixaForum in Madrid (until 21st March) for those lucky enough to visit. See also the Guardian write-up by Sam Jones.
