Hi folks. Happy to announce a new free to enter portrait competition (for UK based artists aged 16 and over) from The Royal Academy of Dance.
The winning artist will receive a £4,000 commissioning fee, with an additional £1,000 for material costs, to create the final painting – which will hang prominently in the new building launching next Spring.
Entrants are asked to submit a portrait proposal (in oil, acrylic or watercolour) of founding RAD President and ballet pioneer Dame Adeline Genée.
The judging panel includes singer song-writer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, royal portraitist Ralph Heimans, former English National Ballet dancer Shevelle Dynott and RAD President Dame Darcey Bussell and Chief Executive Luke Rittner.
