Hi! Apologies for the off kilter schedule, here’s what’s new in artlandia this week…
Green & Stone, a family run art supply shop in Chelsea, opened their doors in 1927 - almost a century later The Gallery at Green & Stone Summer Exhibition has its 6th outing with prizes, worth over £20,000, including a solo exhibition and Young Artist Award (age 30 or under) of £3,000. View last year’s online gallery.
Selector’s include Adebanji Alade - ‘The Addictive Sketcher’, Dr. Alixe Bovey - The Courtauld's Executive Dean and Deputy Director, and artist Meng Zhou.
Artists working in 2D and 3D (up to 1m x 1m) can apply. Global entry is £20 per work, £15 for under 30s. (closes 15 May)
Wells Art Contemporary opens it’s doors with a £2,000 1st prize, £1,000 student prize, a residency in Provence, gallery feature opportunities & one-on-one mentoring.
Artists can apply to show their work in the gallery around the Cathedral cloisters or as installations within the Cathedral and its grounds (installation entry here).
This year’s judges are figurative painters Tessa Coleman and Shanti Panchal, and painter/printmaker Katherine Jones RA. The exhibition will take place this August. 2023 winners. Entry fee is £15 per work, £12 for students (closing date 9th May).
