All About EVE
Hi! I recently interviewed artist and graphic novelist Una about her new book EVE, her creative process, self-doubt, and the artists that inspired her. I was sent an advance copy before its 3rd June release and EVE’s gripping narrative and haunting imagery of a world sliding into dystopia was a powerful, prescient jolt to the senses.
Thanks again to Una for being so generous and open with her answers. Here’s Una on pushing through creative self doubt…
I often don’t like my own drawings, even the ones that are out there in the world loved by other people, but I push through the doubt because I like what I do and I want to keep doing it. I think a certain level of creative self doubt is probably helpful, because it can help you keep pushing to make your art better.
I hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did. Stay tuned to the end for info on Una’s drawing and writing courses plus some excellent graphic novel recommendations. Read the Eve by Una Interview.
An old favourite from Glen Baxter who inspired Una to draw comics.
