Best Sites To Buy Art Supplies
Spent most of the day updating my guide to buying art supplies online. Be warned, it’s huge! But it’s easy to jump to any of the 10 categories from drawing and painting to printmaking supplies. Hope you find it useful!
Japanese Woodblock Printing
Beautifully illustrated guide to Japanese Woodblock Printing from Jackson’s Art. Known as Mokuhanga it uses water based inks and doesn’t need a printing press.
Arts Jobs
New arts jobs this week in England, Scotland, Wales, NI & Ireland.
Banksy Funded Rescue Boat
Banksy has long made works referencing the ongoing migrant issue in Europe so financed the Louise Michel after reportedly reaching out to Pia Klemp, the former captain of several other rescue boats, to ask how he might be able to help...
“Hello Pia, I’ve read about your story in the papers. You sound like a badass,” he wrote. “I am an artist from the UK and I’ve made some work about the migrant crisis, obviously I can’t keep the money. Could you use it to buy a new boat or something? Please let me know. Well done. Banksy.”
Pia Klemp does indeed sound like a badass, no surprise she said yes. All 353 refugees on the Banksy funded boat have finally found a place of safety in Palermo, Sicily. Follow the Louise Michel on Twitter.

I love this weekly! I wish the USA office would do the same thing.
