Sketch For Survival
Hey, here’s some animal themed art things – first of which is Sketch For Survival an international art competition from Explorer’s Against Extinction which raised nearly £60,000 last year for conservation projects. Submit your animal or wildlife art (A4 or A3 size) by June 30th for online auction & gallery + London exhibition opportunity. There’s also a Junior award for under 16s.
Animal Life Drawing Classes
Warm up those wildlife art muscles with these animal life drawing classes from Henley School of Art (£10). My sister recently took one of their figure drawing classes and said the online format worked surprisingly well and the model was great.
Speaking of my sister (training to be an Illustrator) she really enjoyed these Domestika courses too: Pictorial Sketchbook with Gouache by Maru Godas (£9.90) and Creation of an Illustrated Foldable Book by Roger Ycaza (£24.90). Haven’t tried these yet but #StayAtHome is an updated list of free Domestika courses.
